Pastor Scott Buell
Scott has been the pastor at Auburn Church of the Nazarene since September, 2001. He has been a pastor for over 20 years and feels this is his life's calling. Scott has graduated from college, seminary, and another seminary in order to prepare for this ministry and to stay current as a pastor.
Scott and his wife Donna have always taken a team approach to leading a church. Donna has led in the worship, children's, and now missions ministries. She works for a dry foods company as the head of research and development. Scott and Donna have two children. Katie is a junior in college and Nicholas is a junior in high school.
Scott's passion as a pastor is to be and lead the congretaion into authenticity as they serve Jesus together.
Youth Leaders - Jim Wallace, Rachel Kapcha, and Scott Carpenter
Our Youth ministry is now led by a team of three leaders! They share the Tuesday evening Edify ( to instruct and improve especially in moral and religious knowledge) Ministry, Sunday School teaching, and the various events our teens enjoy. Jim and Rachel are engaged and lead the Tuesday Edify ministry. Jim is also active on our worship team and Rachel serves in Children's ministries as well. Scott has been helping with teen ministry for some time. He serves others as he drives the church van ministry on Sunday mornings.
Our church is blessed by a strong history of ministry to teens as well as these wonderful Christian leaders!
Associate Pastor - Rev. Paul Colgan
Paul is in studies to be ordained as a minister, but that does not stop him from being active in ministry now! Paul leads our young adult ministry called EPIC (Encouraging Passion in Christ) and various Hope Groups/Bible Studies on Monday evenings. Paul takes an active part in preaching at our church as well as being invited to speak at other churches.
Paul is married to Jody and they have three awesome daughters: Elizabeth, Rebecca, and Sarah.
